Week 11 is nearing its end and it will cap off with a showdown between the 5-4 Atlanta Falcons and 6-3 Seattle Seahawks. Both teams are still very much in the playoff hunt and Seattle can take 1st place with a win over the Falcons since the Rams lost to the Vikings this past Sunday. The Falcons are still 3 games behind and with a win in Seattle, they’ll only be 2 games behind with a manageable schedule ahead. Let’s see what we should watch for in this Monday Night Showdown.

1. Legion of Boom without Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor

The Seahawks have lost Richard Sherman to a torn Achilles and Kam Chancellor to a neck injury for the season. All eyes will be on newly signed Byron Maxwell (who started his career in Seattle) as he fills in Sherman. Delano Hill will be filling in for Kam. Right now, the Seattle Seahawks rank 14th in passing yards per game allowed (217.2) and could see that number rise without these key starters. They’ll be facing Julio Jones, Taylor Gabriel, and Mohammed Sanu. Tough challenge for the Seahawks.

2. Russell Wilson Vs Falcons Pass Defense

Russell Wilson will be facing a Falcons defense that ranks 6th against the pass allowing an average of 198.2 yards per game and pummeled Dak Prescott a week ago with 6 sacks. Wilson will look to continue his Houdini-like performances against a very good passing defense. Tough test tonight for Russell Wilson and company.

3. Falcons Run Game

The Falcons will be without Devonta Freeman as he suffered a concussion a week ago. Now Tevin Coleman and Terron Ward will take more reps against a Seahawks defense that ranks 9th in average rush yards per game allowed. The Falcons run game could have a tough time against the Seahawks and could force Ryan into throwing a lot more.

Bold Prediction: Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan combine for 7 TDs and over 700 yards passing.
