The 4-4 Miami Dolphins will travel to Bank of America Stadium to take on the 6-3 Carolina Panthers what could be a low-scoring affair on Monday Night. The Dolphins are coming into this game on a 2-game losing streak while the Carolina Panthers are coming off a 2 game win streak and will look to win their 3rd straight. These matchups will be key to the outcome of the game.

Miami Dolphins @ Carolina Panthers; 8:30pm

1. Jay Cutler Vs Panthers Defense

Jay Cutler coming off his game as a Dolphins throwing for 311 yards and 3 TD passes against a suspect Raiders. This week he’ll have a tougher challenge facing a Panthers defense that ranks 4th in passing yards per game (195.7) and ranks 2nd in sacks against opposing quarterbacks with 29.

2. Panthers Run Game Vs Dolphins Run Defense

The Panthers run game has been very disappointing this season but it was much better against the Atlanta Falcons a week ago. However, Cam Newton was the leading rusher with 86 rushing yards and dunked on one of the Falcons defenders for a TD. The Dolphins run defense ranks 7th in yards per game allowed (94.0). The Dolphins defense could certainly shut the run game down, but if they don’t, there will be a lot of points in favor of Carolina.

3. Cam Newton

Cam Newton may very well have to carry the team on his back again especially with the disappointing run game Carolina has had this season. He could have a big game against a Miami defense that ranks 26th in total sacks with only 13 on the season. They struggle to get to the quarterback which could lead to more big plays for Cam. If the Dolphins can’t stop Cam, this game will get out of hand quickly.

Bold Prediction: Cam Newton accounts for 5 TDs and throws for 350 yards.
