The 3-4 Detroit Lions travel to Lambeau Field to take on the 4-3 Green Bay Packers. Brett Hundley will get his second start of the season following two losses to the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints and recently had a bye in Week 9. He’ll look for his first win against Matthew Stafford and co. who are coming off 3 straight losses to the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers; 8:30pm
1. Brett Hundley
Hundley has not shown enough to even be considered a viable backup quarterback in the NFL. Coming off a bye week, Hundley will be looking to prove his critics wrong in prime time on Monday Night Football. The pressure is on for Hundley, and if he does not perform as well as Mike McCarthy wants, a veteran quarterback will be brought in while Hundley will sit back on the bench.
2. Aaron Jones Vs Lions Run Defense
Aaron Jones has been the bright spot of the Packers offense since Aaron Rodgers went down with a broken collarbone. Jones will be asked to shoulder the load to take pressure off of Brett Hundley. It won’t be easy considering the Lions rank 6th in rush yards per game allowed (91.6). If Jones doesn’t perform well then this Packers offense could struggle mightily to even muster out points against the Lions D.
3. Matthew Stafford and the Offense
Stafford is coming off a game in which he threw for over 400 yards against an above average Steelers defense. However, him and the offense could not score a single TD and forced Matt Prater into kicking 5 field goals, which ultimately was not enough to come away with a win. Look for him and the offense to finish drives this time and get opportunities to win this game going against Brett Hundley.
Bold Prediction: Matt Stafford throws for 400 yards, 3 TDs, and no interceptions.
