Vegas had a shaky start to their first game, conceding a goal to the Dallas Stars, but a third-period goal (scored by James Neal) sparked something in the young team. As the hockey world marveled at the new team’s first ever goal, Vegas switched to “take over mode.” The Golden Knights went on to win the game late in the third with another goal from Neal, the former Nashville Predator.
With the team’s only defeat being a 6-3 loss to Detroit, they look unstoppable. They are now are sporting a handsome 7-1 record and sitting comfortably at the top of the league. This rag-tag group of players who were considered the expendable jabronis of each of their teams have continue to shock the league and prove their worth. Watch them for yourself on Friday when they take on the Colorado Avalanche at home at 6 ET.
